(split out of original thread of Scott Sexton)
I again support Rollers views and I know that is SCARY. If we go this rule stretching route all the time it will end up in a very negative way for the class. read the rules as a guide line and stop looking for loop holes. The girl with the mustang easily made that car fit and it is a nice car that looks better for it. I have 3 small decals on the side of the rear wing all pertaining to my own business Duane said no for this year after running them last year. Well so be it they will not be seen this year at E85 events. I like to thank the rules group for allowing air stagging units for mech. injected engines but they should make sure they are a single hose unit. Electronics is what I am most concerned about. They are what has ruined drag race the most over the last few years. Just my 2 cents. Thanks Larry Sr.

Amen I agree totally Larry!!!!
.....make sure they are a single hose unit.
I dont know enough about them, so if this is what ENSURES no down track use, Duane I suggest this be put into the rules. Please clarify Larry if I am interpreting that right.

Yes the 2 hose units can be used as a down track STOP the singles can not.

So this means that Terry will be painting his black hood before the first race too, correct? Not being a dick, but we have to be equal to everyone on the rules.

Underlayers dont count.........lol.......I havent seen it so I cant weigh in on whether its satin (not satan) or primer, but I think it would look much mo kewl painted to match the car....just an opinion from the avatar only... I still think the satin rule is not a good idea...it never was in the first place....no one had satin paint last year....and people were lobbying for it.
For what its worth its pretty well too late now, but if that hood is flat or primer, by definition you MUST paint it with either satin or a true automotive finish paint. There is a big diffrence in flat and satin. Jason is right, across the board....but if it satin, then Terry has it covered...(under a rule I protest...:lmao:)

I'd have to imagine the rules where looking to have the hood color match the car, but there is a gray area... Kinda like having the factory control arm mounting point and not using them.

Hard to argue that!!! But I kinda agree with the idea of using it for accents and whatnot.....but thats just a personal thing.....I say lets review the rule this winter! If it passes again then so be it.....
