Not all run 8.50 anyways..if you wanted to do this we could bring cars that were closer or work it out...would hate to be a one sided race...

That would work, but the crowd would rather see them leave together:yup:
I think this is a great idea for both organizations. I do think it would be easier for the Mafia to slow down then the E85 guys to speed up. The fans would love to see a race like this. I have 2 more cars i been persuading to race E85:yup:
Would love to have a 10 race schedule next season with a 32 car field :doob:

First please accept my apology in advance if I am imposing on this thread. I think this is an awesome Idea between the two organizations and I have a idea if your both interested.
on Sept. 20th 2009 at Byron Dragway, Heartland Drag Racers Association will be holding a Charity event to benefit the Northern IL Food Bank. All procees from this race are being donated. We are still working out details and working on obtaining more sponsorship, however we have an exclusive radio sponsorship for this event with 104.9 WXRX, as well Chicago Wise Guys will be in attendance putting on their show. Not only is this a great benefit to help out the community, it is great promotion for all organizations involved, and there should be a ton of spectators in the house that day.
We have a 8.5 index heads up class, However the turnout we have had for it, is a Mafia racer anyway. If both organization are interested, I would change the cap to the 8.70 for this event and you guys could run with us on that day in this class.
Im open for suggestions and comments about this and willing to talk with both organizations to reach an agreement on entry and payouts.
All I ask is you promote the event, and I will add your organizations to the flyers, media advertisements, event shirts, event page, and allow you to set up your booths at the event to promote your organizations and sell your merch.
You can view information on our series at http://www.hdraracingseries.com/
the charity event is located at http://www.hdraracingseries.com/rahindex.htm
and our forums are located at http://racersforum.pro-forums.com/index.php

Ill let ya know after Sept's event...LOL
Count us in if its not broke. I would rather see the index brought to the 8.90. Its easy to slow em down (againt the idea of going fast though). Im guessing 8.50-70 is out for me for this year.
I still think the Byron race would be a cool local too, just to take the class to some new people. Even farther for most everyone though, even us...LOL. Thats the weekend after the Byron wheelstand weekend. Jason can you have yours fixed in a week...LOL....j/k bro!!!

Since I came in during the negotiation of this race and your date is tentative. I would like to extend a invitation for your organization to come out and race with us at Byron to help raise money for the Northern IL food bank. If your interested in coming as a group I will add ProE85 logo and name to the list of supporting organizations on all media including event shirts, your link on the website and you are more then welcome to setup a tent and promote your series, sponsors and sell your merch. This includes chicago super stock as well, since I see some of you are in both. I have issued this invite to MSSM, true street and IMSM, Chicago Wise Guys will be there that day as well. I would like to have a huge organization gathering to put on one hell of a show for the media and spectators, and raise some good funds to benefit the food bank.
