WOW That final would have been a good race. Congrats to Duane!! There was some good racing all day for everyone. Sorry to everyone, especially the fans, for leaving early. The final would have been a close run. I did have a REAL good reaction time to the Crushers top bulb going out :lmao:. Ill post vid later....I guess I was too amped up and reacted to the wrong dang thing. I knew I had to try to have somn in the bank against the Crusher, but that was not the plan!
He keeps "rolling the dice" against the High Roller, snake eyes WILL come up soon!
Great race to all! The track was not bad considering the BLISTERING ambient air temps and the sun trying to boil the track...I thikn early on they announced the track temp was above 130....WOW. In the final though it sure felt better, however I didnt get any times do to my foul(ugh). Good job 41 crew!!
The crowd was awsome too. So many people came by and talked, complimented asked questions;Heck I even got an autograph request.
Sportsmanship award definitley goes to Steve "NOS VET" Hoch as he waited for Tyler "Get Dusted" Clark to get a jump and Tyler ended up taking him out in round 1. That's what this sport is all about!
Hard Luck award MUST go to Brett "Pickleman" Heidgerken as he tore it up at the last event, finished repairs saturday morning, only to haul up and tear it up again. Last time a mechanical failure (dropped valve head) and this time another mechanical failure (sounds like a rod knocking). Lets hope for no real damage, just bearings and go at it again.
See ya'll on July 25th. Next time I'll wait for the tree...:D
Cant say enough about everyone and their racing attitudes. Sure makes it enjoyable when we can all poke at each other in fun, help each other out, and make these cars do what they do.....together!
